A quality 80 year old vehicle

Description from present owner

'1930 2 seater open tourer. No tax or MOT. Log book (V5C) present.

The car has been laid up in the garage for approximately 20 years. It was stored on blocks with wheels off until approximately 18 months ago when the wheels were put back.

The body appears to have been altered before I acquired it, which was over 20 years ago. It was probably made from a 1930 short wheel-base 4-seater Chummy. The bench seat is not original. There are no side-screens or hood with the car.

The car moves and the wheels turn but it will require a trailer for transport.
Overall length 9ft 4inches; width 4 ft.

The engine, I think, has a 2-bearing crankshaft and an updraught carburetter. The fuel tank is under the bonnet and gravity feeds to the carb. Battery is no use so engine has not been run but there is a spark and petrol flows through the carburetter. With a new 6 volt battery it should run.

The chassis appears to be good. The front wings and running boards were brand new aftermarket items fitted 20 years ago.

The vehicle is registered as Black/Yellow in colour which would need to be amended or the car returned to registered colour scheme prior to MOT

The vehicle's V5C shows a declared date of manufacture as 1930 and first registered in 1988 for which the age related registration in the picture was issued. Registration is included with the car.

Please note that the auction pictures were taken in 2009. The car was dry-stored under a sheet in the garage again, once the pictures were taken, where it remains for viewing.'
